Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu Airport - (1360m.)
After your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by our office representative and transferred to the hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu Valley sightseeing
The capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu, being the historical and cultural heart of the country, is a popular destination for tourists, trekkers and other types of adventure seekers. The city is a marvelous amalgamation of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Western cultures influences. Paten and Bhaktapur are its two major neighboring cities. These two cities, like Kathmandu, have a rich historical, cultural and religious legacy which is reflected in the many temples, monuments and artifacts that they contain. You will be taken on a half-day guided tour of Kathmandu and Bhaktapur cities. In Kathmandu, you will be visiting Pashupatinath, the most famous and revered Hindu shrine in the country; Bouddhanath, the largest Buddhist stupa in Nepal, Swyambhunath, which contains both Buddhist and Hindu shrines and stands as testimony to the religious harmony that exists in the country; and the 15th-century 55-window palace in Bhaktapur. An orientation session for the trek, which commences the following day, will be organized in the evening.

Day 03: Drive Kathmandu to Pokhara (910m) 6hrs
Early morning after breakfast, we drive to Pokhara from Kathmandu (208km) via Prithvi Highway, takes 6hrs approximately (option of flying from Kathmandu to Pokhara, takes extra cost). Along the way we will stop in scenic spots, for lunch and to get fresh as well, en-route you experience the countryside which is lays with greenery, rivers, local villages, farm lands and beautiful mountain scenarios. Upon on arrival in Pokhara you have a option of your own.

Day 04: Drive to Phedi and trek to Deurali (2100m/6,720ft): 30 minutes drive, 4-5 hrs trek
After an early morning breakfast, adventure starts with a drive to Phedi after we start our trek from there, walking in different terrain reaching to Dhampus. We continue our walk to Deurali which is a small village beautifully located on a ridge with good views of the Annapurna South, Mardi Himal and Machhapuchhare.

Day 05: Deurali to forest camp (2,520m/8064ft): 6-7 hrs
Our trail passes through lush forest dotted with the red rhododendrons Nepal’s national flower. The flowers are a common sight in Nepalese hills and it is no surprise. Our trail is very quiet until we reach a clearing of the forest camp. We can take rest and explore the area which is also known locally as Kokar.

Day 06: Forest Camp to low camp (2970m/9504ft): 5-6 hrs
We continue to walk through dense forests admiring Nepal’s rich biodiversity and reach the low camp. From here, the fantastic view of Mt. Machhapuchhare (Mt. Fishtail) up the valley is mesmerizing. We can spend some time in the evening observing the local lifestyle.

Day 07: Low camp to high camp (3540m/11,328ft): 3-4 hrs
We trek uphill alongside a ridge towards Mardi Himal and Machhapuchhare. The tree lines start getting thinner and the area mostly consists of shrubs with isolated rhododendron bushes along the trail. If lucky, we might even come across the Daphne pheasant (national bird of Nepal) on our way to high camp. We ascend up to the high camp, which the final destination of the day. From here the mountain views are stunning.

Day 08: High camp to upper viewpoint (4250m/13600ft), return back to high camp: 2-3 hrs
We see Mardi Himal (5587m), Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna south (7219m), Hiunchuli (6441m), Baraha Shikhar (Mt. Fang) (7647m), Tent Peak (5695m), Singhachuli (6501m), Machhapuchhare (6993m) and others. We trek back to the high camp. On our trek to the upper viewpoint we ascend and descend, and sometimes on a steep and narrow trail. Our trail passes through pastures and we hike along a narrow ridge before reaching the Upper Viewpoint. View of the Himalayan vista from this point is astonished.

Day 09: High camp to Sidhing Village (1700m/5440ft): 6-7 hrs
Siddhing offers a quiet stay for trekkers as it is tucked away from the busier trails. We take a different route in high camp that takes us to Sidhing instead of going back down to Mardi Himal. The different route lets us experience something different and makes our trek exciting.

Day 10: Trek to Lumre, drive to Pokhara
After an early breakfast, we walk towards Lumre finally reaching the road from where we begin our drive to Pokhara. After reaching the city, we continue our drive to its domestic airport and fly back to Kathmandu. Someone from Himalayan Glacier will pick us from the airport and drop us off at our hotel. We take a rest and freshen up. In the evening, there will be a farewell dinner to celebrate the successful completion of our Mardi Himal Trek.

Day 11: Pokhara to Kathmandu: Drive
